Ownashare's Good News

Last week Ownashare started a new improved helpline service.
One of our boats caught the swans neck under a lock gate and it broke off at the bearing.
Our mobile engineers attended the stricken boat and welded the swans neck back on and the owner quoted "smashing lads and did a great job which is permanent"
We would like announce no increase in our fees for 2016.
This week after our first weekend of owners meetings, we would also like to thank Theddingworth, Farndon and Beeston Castle for retaining Ownashare for their 6th year.

Autumn has officially arrived and it has been such a wonderful September for the company.
Ownashare has welcomed 8 new families to our boat syndicates and it is at this time of year that we have our annual meetings with our syndicates and catch up with established and new friends.
Ownashare pride ourselves on our personal care of the boats and her owners and all of the staff enjoy catching up with all the news of our owners after the meetings.

Busy sales period

With the beginning of the autumn the sun has shone and the leaves have started to change colour.
Ownashare have seen a very busy sales period with 10 shares being sold in the last month!
This is a very good time to purchase as it enables you to attend the boat AGM and meet all of other syndicate members and help to decide on the future of the boat for the next twelve months.
I hope to welcome many other new owners to the few syndicates that still have shares available.
If you plan to buy a share please act quickly to avoid missing your dream boat.

Rowan the ship’s cat
She’s never been brave enough to leave the boat before, but after some careful investigation she hopped off this time.
She got too confident though. On the Tuesday we were supposed to be starting to head back towards the marina - 3 days sailing away - but she hopped off at 07:50 and didn’t come back until 18:50.

July Cuttings

HOT, HOT and HOT
We have started July with a heatwave and umbrellas are needed to protect us from the sun.
Are we, the British ever happy with our weather?
What would we talk about if it was predictable?
The chat at the lock is usually started with the weather closely followed by our trip and experiences.
Long may we have such changeable conditions, it is what makes the UK such an interesting place to live with wonderful contrasts in nature, flora and fauna.
