Summer cuttings

The meteorological summer has arrived with the advent of June and the days are long and warm.
Soon will be the longest day and a wonderful time for late evening cruising.
One of my favourite things to do on a warm evening is sitting on the deck and watching the bats diving around in the moon light is a lovely treat.
Happy cruising

Crick boat show provided a wonderful opportunity to meet potential new owners as well as seeing many past owners who have gone on to buy their own boats.
The sun shone on Saturday and Sunday and our stand was incredibly busy on all three days.
It was lovely to see so many people interested in shared ownership and boating in general.

Now I am back from my holiday on the Macclesfield canal I can only eulogize about the beauty of the Peak district.
It is a wonderful experience to travel the length of this beautiful canal with views of the Peaks around every corner.
The a joining Peak forest canal into Whaley Bridge and Bugsworth basin is something to savour.
This trip we decided to investigate a little further afield and caught the bus from High Lane into Stockport.
This town has some lovely old buildings sadly often spoilt by 1970-80s architecture near by.

April News

With the springing forward of the clocks comes the longer cruising evenings.
Late spring and summer evenings can provide some wonderful sun sets providing a totally different complexion to the landscapes.
The changes in light levels can transform the scene from the lovely English countryside to a magical view.
One of my most memorable evenings (but this is one of many over the years) was at the top of the Hatton flight where we were moored with the sun setting in the galley hatch and the moon rising in the galley window.

March news

Now is the perfect time to purchase as share in a very well maintained shared boat.
A number of our syndicates have this year chosen to roll all of the boats cost together so you can budget.
These boats have included gas, winter maintenance, and savings in addition to the moorings, management, licence, insurance, servicing and general running costs.
The National Shared Boat Show is fast approaching see all of the shared boat management companies in one place, pop the date in your diary 23rd and 24th April at Braunston Marina Northamptonshire.

March cuttings

Officially spring is here.
Enquiries for shares are increasing, our syndicates are out cruising.
The canals are still very quiet you can often cruise all day with only an occasional boat n view.
With central heating and a lovely solid fuel dove on board cruising can be very nice.

It is with excitement that our owners go aboard after upgrade s during the winter maintenance.
My boat being no exception, we have had a bathroom make over taking out the old corner bath and adding a walk in shower.
Tomorrow will be the day our syndicate see the changes!
