Cuttings

Winter arrives for the school half term

Winter has arrived with the start of the school half term holidays.

Luckly for us boat owners, if the canal is frozen, we can use our boats as a cosy floating cottage.

With all of our boats moored in rural locations close to lots of attractions it may be time to venture away from the canal and try visiting the surrounding area.

Have you visited Drayton Manor theme park, zoo, Stafford and Lichfield with lots of interesting buildings and museums.

The jewel in the crown of the area is Lichfield cathederal it is a fascinating visit.

Happy Christmas Cruising

Well Christmas is upon us and the weather up to now has been fair.

The stoppage program has been going very well with many of the stoppages ending ahead of schedule.

Compare this to last years big freeze!

As I write this some of you will be seeing snow today but the weather at Bromley Wharf is cool but sunny.

The Ownashare team wish you a wonderful Christmas season and New year and we look forward to caring for you and your boat through the 2012 season of cruising.
