March Newletter

What wonderful weather we have had in February from Snow and Ice to Sun and warm temperatures.
The spring really does seem to have arrived and it is so welcome during these stay at home times.
Now we have some idea of a date to cruise again we are all busy planning our escapes on the canal.
What joy to be set free in the spring!

February Cuttings

On a cool and blustery day I am starting this blog.
February is the start of longer days and the planning of those trips on the boat during the coming summer.
If we are lucky and the vaccine allows us we can start to think about our holidays.
Fireside planning and is almost as good as the actual trip.
Happy planning

February Newsletter

February is one step nearer to spring.
The snow, ice and rain of the winter has us firmly in its grasp but it also has the promise of spring.
The bulbs are starting to poke their heads above the snow and leaves in the woods and in our gardens the snow drops are in flower.
Although we are still in lock down sales are very busy with enquiries still coming in.
Currently our stock of shares for sale are at an all time low but it is lovely to chat to prospective owners.
If you are interested in a share please do give me a call 07800902323

January Cuttings

2020 has been the strangest and disconcerting year.
Now with the news of the Oxford vaccine our hopes can return.
Although we know that the next few months will be very difficult for many at least there is light at the end of this dark tunnel.
Our boats are undergoing their winter maintenance and being prepared for when we can at last boat again.
It is wonderful to start 2021 with hope in our hearts again.

January Newsletter

As 2020 closes we can look back to a time many of us never thought to witness but with the wonderful human spirit and ingenuity we have produced a vaccine.
Early 2021 will hopefully be the beginning of a change for us all and allow us the return of our freedoms.
Boating has been a wonderful relief and whilst out on the cut life felt something like normal.
I look forward to going out on the cut in the Spring and not having to fear contact with others.

December cuttings

With the fire alight and the cosy evenings in, we can imagine the world as we knew it and hope that it may soon return.
Science and human ingenuity looks as if it may help us to escape this year of restrictions.
After a beautiful autumn we are now starting to feel the cooler days and frosty nights and the wonders of nature never cease to amaze us.
Have a relaxing and quiet Christmas and enjoy our lovely countryside.

December News letter

For the first time this year I write Merry Christmas.
Let us hope everyone can enjoy a safe time over the Christmas holidays.
Our shared boats in Tier 2 are getting ready to start cruising again and those boats are available to view after the 2nd December.
It is at this time of year we start to undertake major maintenance and during lockdown our engineers have been busy trying to complete works to try and free up time in the new year hoping owners can cruise then.

November Cuttings

As always in Autumn we need to check our flues and baffle plates are clear and that our CO2 alarms are working as we snuggle down in front of a lovely warm fire.
The autumn leaves are filling the canal and causing us all to slow down and go out of gear to remove the leaves form the propeller.
But we can only marvel at the wonder colours of nature at this time of year.
Fungi are in abundance now and they come in such a wonder range of shapes, colours and varieties, try downloading the app to idenitify the ones your find.
