We are delighted to report that our operations have commenced successfully, and we have now almost completed our round of boat surveys in advance of winter works.  Our fleet is growing steadily, and it is good to be doing what we do best – serving the customer. 

A new home  A brand new marina with dry-dock is under development at Bromley Wharf, close to Kings Bromley in Staffordshire. In canal terms, the base offers an excellent choice of cruising situated by bridge 54 on the Trent and Mersey Canal a couple of miles west of Fradley Junction. The base will be operated by our sister company, Bromley Wharf Ltd, and some of this year’s winter work on our fleet will be undertaken here. Several of the moorings are already allocated to boats within our scheme. We are very pleased to announce that Bromley Wharf is to become the operational headquarters of Ownashare Cruising Ltd.  If any boat syndicates are interested in mooring at this location, or would like more details please contact 0844 247 3970 or enquiries@ownasharecruising.co.uk  .

New boats. We intend to build two new narrow boats in 2011, one a 58-foot mid-galley 6-berth boat with a semi-traditional stern, and the other a slightly smaller 4-berth cruiser. We will announce full details soon.

Regarding our website, changes are afoot and you may already have noticed some of the new content as we upgrade. Our information pack is now downloadable here and we will shortly be introducing an extended password-protected “owners’ section” where information such as current account details will be exclusively available to our syndicate members.

Our brokerage service will begin in December, with details of pre-owned shares within the scheme available on our website.

So it’s “all systems go” as we enter the winter. We have been asked whether we will be hosting a show in the spring – the answer is “yes,” again watch this space!
