Because of the harsh winter of 2009, Ownashare Cruising Ltd. has decided to offer an Annual Maintenance Survey Programme. This will allow you, the owners, to decide when you want maintenance to take place.

1. Survey for non-Ownashare members.
Our Technical Director and your local manager, will comprehensively examine your boat and report on the condition and operation of all systems. We’ll photograph any areas which need attention.

Areas covered: electrical; water system; heating system; gas; toilet system including holding tanks; internal floor condition; engine and sterngear; painting (including bow and stern fenders). Photographic evidence will be supplied with this report.

Price of survey: £395 + VAT per boat

2. Survey for Ownashare members.
This will include the full survey outlined above. In addition we will discuss agreed work with the chosen boatyard, negotiate the price for work and submit this in writing to the syndicate before their annual meeting. Once approved by the syndicate, we’ll place an official order with the boatyard. An Ownashare maintenance check sheet must be completed and signed by the boatyard and its local manager after each stage of the maintenance.

We’ll submit a report submitted to the syndicate once the Technical Director (along with the local manager) has inspected the work and ensured it reaches our standards. Only then will the invoice balance be paid. This service includes the monitoring of the boat during periods of severe winter weather and periods of prolonged frost.

Price of annual survey maintenance supervision: £660 + VAT per boat
